Right to Express
Years of Impact
Right to Express (RTE) is a vibrant creative organisation that promotes self-expression, cultural diversity, and a sense of belonging. We create bold, inclusive spaces where artists, musicians, photographers, and storytellers can thrive through University of Creativity (UC) — RTE's arts development program arm.
We've grown from a campus society into a full creative organisation — producing professional events, offering industry-grade services, and building a community where talent is celebrated and amplified.
What We Offer →End-to-end event planning and execution — concept development, talent booking, logistics, and on-the-day management for seamless, memorable experiences.
Professional photography sessions and post-production editing. We capture your moments with intention and deliver polished, publication-ready visuals.
Helping creatives and organisations build a powerful digital presence. From social media strategy to content pipelines and online branding, we get you seen.
Access our fully equipped creative studio for recording sessions, content creation, podcast production, and music recording in a professional environment.
We craft identities that mean something. Logo design, brand guidelines, merchandise, and visual storytelling that sets you apart and speaks to your audience.
Professional audio equipment for events of every scale. From intimate gatherings to small-scale concerts: crisp, powerful sound delivered and set up by our team.
A celebration of style, identity and cultural exchange. Students showcased unique fashion from diverse backgrounds, building community through self-expression.
A landmark collaboration giving campus musicians, poets, and dancers a professional stage to perform and connect.
A brand visibility campaign featuring student models in RTE merchandise — merging photography, fashion and brand identity.
Our flagship talent showcase featuring musical performances, dance, spoken word, and everything in between: a celebration of diverse creative gifts.
A high-energy outdoor event featuring jumping castles, water slides, amusement games, a car wash, music, and live dance performances: a full day of summer fun and community.
In partnership with UKZN SSD, we welcomed students to campus by hosting artists Mjolisi and Duncan: kicking off the academic year on a festive and joyous note.
We've had the privilege of collaborating with 100+ artists and creatives across music, fashion, photography, dance, and performance, further amplifying voices and building a thriving creative community.
